TWO South Australian birds have joined the endangered species list because their habitat has been destroyed.
The Mallee Emu-wren, of which about 100 are found in a tiny pocket of Victoria and South Australia, was yesterday upgraded from vulnerable to endangered by the World Conservation Union (IUCN).
The South Australian Osprey, of which the largest population exists on the West Coast, has also been added to the endangered species list.
