Day 29 -- FORGIVENESS (Feb. 27)
When we forgive, we are free to let go of the past and move on with our lives.
We do not condone the hurtful behavior but we realize that there is something within us that is more powerful and important than this wounding experience.
Today, write a letter to forgive someone.
You do not have to mail it.
Forgiveness: How to let go of grudges and bitterness. (from the Mayo Clinic website)
The remarkable thing is that we really love our neighbor as ourselves: we do unto others as we do unto ourselves. We hate others when we hate ourselves. We are tolerant toward others when we tolerate ourselves. We forgive others when we forgive ourselves. We are prone to sacrifice others when we are ready to sacrifice ourselves. ~ Eric Hoffer
The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong. ~ Gandhi
